INFORMATION

HOURS OF SERVICE: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 
p.m. Monday through Friday, except
holidays. Jurors are expected to be 
available during these hours.

TRIAL DURATION: Ventura County jury
service is one jury trial or one day.
If you are not in a courtroom at the 
end of the day, your service is 
complete for a minimum of one year.
Cases in Ventura county average four
days. The trial judge will advise you 
of trial duration and may excuse you 
from serving on a particular case. If 
your service would impose an extreme 
hardship.

EXCUSE: Jury service is not voluntary, 
but a civic duty imposed upon all 
citizens by statute (CCP 204). Any 
request for excuse must be submitted 
in writing. Self-employment or loss 
of incoming while serving is not an 
automatic excuse. Prospective jurors 
who request an excuse for financial 
hardship must complete item "K"  of 
the affidavit to have the request 
considered by the court. Notices are 
sent by mail when the request for 
excuse is granted.

the LABOR CODE reads "An employer may

the law effective August 16, 2004.

a cafeteria on site at the Hall of 
Justice and restaurants within walking

Above is a letter to U.S. President Barack Obama
Letter can not be too long. Below is background
information.

Liu, Hsinhan was born on 1948-02-17 at Hankow City
mainland China. Both parents come from Four River
Province, Yingshan County. 
(Hankow is east to Yingshan thousand miles)
Father family name is Liu
Mother family name is Chiang
Brother is about 33 month younger then LiuHH.
Sister  is about 51 month younger then LiuHH.

LiuHH never go to hometown Yingshan. Next year 1949,
LiuHH follow parents and Chinese government move 
to Taiwan province, and grow up in Taiwan.
In 1970, LiuHH received mechanical engineering 
bachelor degree at Tainan Cheng-Kung University
(Tainan=Taiwan south; "Success" University)
On 1978-08-01 LiuHH arrived U. S. Since then
always stay in the U.S. In 1980-Jan LiuHH entered
the University of Iowa mechanical engineering 
department.

in 1982, Liu, Hsinhan meet Chen, Liling and
LiuHH asked for marriage. Liling gave Hsinhan
positive reply. That time Hsinhan and Liling 
did not hold hands openly.
1985 Liling moved to Purdue University and loss
contact. 1992-Oct. LiuHH left Iowa City.

2006-May, brother had heart blood vessel block
emergency condition. Went to Bakersfield
San Juaquin Community Hospital.
2006-05-19 brother had heart operation.
This event is a great shock to LiuHH.

die. Because, first LiuHH do not have medical
insurance. Second LiuHH do not have wife next
to me. If emergency happen, no one reach out
help hand on time. I must take the emergency
happen to me into consideration.

to brother. Brother and sister-in-law were in
financial struggle condition (today same), so
they happily accepted business partner offer.

(Chian) is your partner. Now you say it is
